If I take anything away from the last 10 hours, it is, above all, choose who you travel with wisely... or rather, hand select them. Jme is just fine, and I think I can see eye to eye with Sam very well... it is when you barely know the other person, and that other person has no idea what they are doing and tend to bring out the worst in the others around them. We all know that friend, that one that is fun until you have to be serious, then nothing gets done.
To kick off the morning, Sam, Jme, and I all woke up around 8 (Sam around 6, but we were all up by 8). The others... not so much on the awake part until 12:30... the plan was to LEAVE at NOON. So, for about 2 hours, I was totally in fml mode. I guess it wasnt all bad, though. The trip itself started out well, whereas we didnt get lost, no missed turns, and no headaches. We went to a Buffalo Wild Wings just across the border and had lunch... kinda, twas around 1/2/2:30. Something like that. We left and continued inward towards... God knows where and found a store off of the highway. Small store with about 500+ people jammed inside. We got our powder kegs and got the heck out of there.
This is where the headache and annoyance came into play. We got back and started out on 94 Westbound and ended up losing track of where the hell we were going... turns out we were meant to stay on 94 rather than going into 694... fml. So, we turn around a few times, stop and get directions, get on our way, and as soon as I start to figure out where the hell I am, I miss a turn... fml. At this point, I am in no state to really deal with driving, drivers, and anything with a pulse or that moves (people and cars), but alas, I am the taxi... fml. So we turn around, get onto 494 Northbound (I think) and start down that way and finally get to the high school, where person 3 had their bike, which turns out to be too big to fit in my trunk... fml. After 15 or so minutes, we figured it was better to just to part ways and have him go home that way and then we went to get gas and all that.
There's more, but tis more along the lines of having to go between one place and another because of miscommunications and not thinking ahead as far as we should have. So I was the bloody taxi.
